Distribution Resources Co., Denver CO Software Engineer December 2000 to March 2001 Soon after joining DRC they were purchased by Venture Capitalists that eliminated a large portion of the workforce, including me. While I was there,  I was given responsibility of a Warehouse Interface subsystem; a COBOL system using Turbo Image databases and extensive use of Message files. Coded enhancements and eliminated a 2 year old backlog of outstanding user enhancement requests in just 3 months.

	As Senior P/A in the Corporate IT department of a national HMO health plan, I have played a visible, key role in the rapid and successful growth of the HMO in a competitive business.
	I worked directly with top management and was responsible for designing, programming and maintaining a distributed system of on-line and batch programs at our remote sites.
	Performed IT Director duties on an interim basis at remote sites as needed.

	Also in COBOL/Image/VPLUS, designed and wrote the new NylCare Billing system, using the new Insurance structures defined by New York Life.
	Created Marketing Mentor system using Borland Pascal and Turbo Vision windowing environment for use by Marketing department during pricing.
	Developed and wrote COBOL/Image/VPLUS system to automate claims entry into the claims database using customer-submitted tapes.
	Created COBOL/Image/VPLUS system to report 1099 tax information on tape to the IRS.
	Created COBOL/Image/VPLUS system to reconcile customer submitted eligibility against our databases and report discrepancies.

Created Design Manuals for Boiler Design and Pressure Vessel design. Interpreted the A.S.M.E. code. Engineered products for various Power Plants and Nuclear Power Plants. Created computer programs using HP Basic to: Produce mathematical calculations normally done by hand. Generate design specifications for Boilers and Pressure Vessels. Transformed A.S.M.E. formulas and graphs into HP Basic routines that generated verifiable calculations. Produced output that indicated proper construction for drafting. Reduced manual engineering time for a boiler from multiple days to less than an hour. Specify parts listing based on inventory and costing. Maintain Inventory, report to purchasing parts levels and parts depletion.
